Hello!

Well if you rename the wldlog.dll to wldlog.dllX messenger should work for everyone.

The only problem is that when people try to add you as friends / when you try to add someone else, there will be no "confirmation-box".. Therefore you can't add anymore friends. Havn't found a way to solve this problem yet.

Anyone knows?

xoxo

RE: -SOLVED- Windows Live Communications Platform has encountered .......
Hi you guys. :]

Whenever I sign into Windows Live Messenger 9 (the latest one on the windows live website), there is a pop up which tells me that there is a problem with Windows Live Communications Platform.

The message:
http://i331.photobucket.com/albums/l463/vlyl/wlcp.jpg

"Windows Live Communications Platform has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

This appears while it is signing in (for like 2-5 minutes) and then it stops signing it in.

I have checked online forums and tried changing the files that they told me too (eg. deleting wldlog.dll, adjusting wlcomm.exe so that it runs in Windows 95, etc). I don't have Windows Blinds or Nvidia thing that they say to delete either.

I have tried reinstalling it, but it didn't work. I tried restoring my computer to an earlier date as well, but that didn't work either.

I also cleaned up the registry and defragmented it and scanned my computer for viruses, but even after doing that, nothing was fixed.

And it only does this with one of my emails. If I try to sign in with another email, it works, but then after a few seconds/minutes, the Windows Live Communications Platform error thing pops back up and signs me out.

Oh and I use Windows Vista.

Help?
Thanks. :]

i've installed the latest version of msn yesterday.
5 seconds after i sign in i get the

"Windows Live Communications Platform has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience." error.

but here is the funny thing, if i dont press send error report or dont send buttons, messenger operates fine on the background. i can still use it as if there isnt any problems.

but of course i will still have that error screen in front of me and if i click send or dont send, then the messenger will close.

uninstalled the old messengers and msn plus and installed the new msn again.. same problem still exists.

any ideas????

Simply go to control panel and open programs and features, or add or remove programs, then uninstall the windows live sign in assistant and everything will be back to normal.;)

I found this answer below on another site.. I cant find it now so I cant give the person credit.. but it wasnt my work around.. BUT it works.. so PROPS to whoever it was LMAO[size=4][color=red][font=Arial]

Start - All Programs - Windows Blinds - Run windows blinds
under settings, choose per application
add per application setting (its a button)
Locate: c:\program files\windows live\contacts
choose wlcomm.exe
check mark: ignore this application and do not skin it
click OK
under windows blinds, apply settings, exit live, and reopen, enjoy!
