O.P. Empty contact list
Hi, i'm back  just to let you know about this bug (see attachment).
This happened after locking Windows and re-opening WLM. I will try to make it happen again and tell you exactly what I did.

Windows Vista Ultimate x64 Service Pack 1 (6.0.6001)
Windows Live Messenger 14.0.1202
Messenger Plus! Live 4.79.0.353
What I did was, appear as Away, close WLM window, lock Windows, unlock Windows 20min after, open WLM window.

Can you reproduce the problem is you re-do the same thing? do you have any kind of skin or patch installed?

It's just happened to me
Wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary, Messenger was just sat there as usual, I then went to check who was online and there was a massive blank space where my contact list should be.
The Dashboard with display picture & e-mail icon is still showing, the 'What's New' area is still there too.
I can still open chats (as long as a toast pops up, otherwise I have no way of clicking on the contact!)

Sounds like the 1001 Contact List subwindow is messing. quote:

Try rightclicking the Messenger icon in your taskbar notification area, and clicking "Send an instant message...". |
