O.P. Windows 7 WLM 2009
Hi I have installed the Windows 7 beta and most of the Messenger Plus features work with WLM 2009 on it but I can't seem to get the messenger lock feature to work.  Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Thanks :)

It's a known bug on Windows 7 and currently there' s no workaround known yet.

I know how to get it to work again ^^. (finally! i missed the function :P)

Close your msn and go to properties of the messenger exe  -> compability
-> enable the 'run this program in......' and click for vista.

apply this all.. and messenger is back to the place where it used to be in vista = system tray

The windows 7 functions will still work (for me they do ^^) but messenger is back in the system tray....

and you can lock messenger again as in windows vista ^^.

(just found this out for myself a few minutes ago.. so i'm not sure if any features will be gone).

Enjoy! (H)

Hey, thanks! Will try.

Seems to be working great! Even better, as there was no way to quickly know your status or sign-in/out without having to open the main window before. Neat trick, not only solves the Messenger Lock problem, it's also a better UI.

Thanks again.

Not only that but then it will put it in the tray instead of the taskbar :)
