O.P. help me pleaaaase! (can't see other peoples colours)

i have downloaded MSN plus
but when i'm online i cant actually see
all other peoples colours and stuff which
are on peoples name. but ive got the box
next to where you change your display
name which says format codes.
so i dunno why i cant see other peoples
colours.

so tbhh im really confused
so please people can you help me?

What version of windows live messenger and Plus! are you using?

Navigate to the 'Customize!" tab in the Plus! Preferences & Options and make sure that the option "Use formatting attributes to color contact names in Messenger windows" is ticked

Open Messenger Plus! Live Preferences by clicking on the Messenger Plus! Live icon on your contact list, then click 'Preferences and Options'

The 'Customize!' tab is in there
