Hmm, yes, you do have the right version.

I suggest you try uninstalling Messenger and Messenger Plus and re-installing them both.

We haven't had any other reports of the problem persisting.

Are you using a skin on messenger or a theme on windows?

a-patch, though patchou has said the incompatibilities will be fixed in 4.8 so there's no interference

Try uninstalling A-Patch and seeing if it makes any difference.

I have A-Patch installed and everything works fine, tabs aren't hidden under the menu bar.

Better to uninstall and reinstall everything (WLM/Plus!/A-Patch)
