O.P. Error code when signing in (8004882d)
I have just made a new email address but every time I try and sign into messenger I get a message saying:

Please enter your Windows Live ID in this format:
yourname@example.com

Error Code : 8004882d


My other msn accounts work but its just this one that wont. Anyone know how to fix this?

Can you log in to the account on a different computer?

If you can: It's something wrong with your PC (see below)
If you can't: It's something wrong with the account

Try completely removing all Messenger related data from your computer using CookieRevised's guide, then it should work. :)

To Who This May Concern,

I found a solution to fix the problem that Windows Live Messenger is giving Code 8004882D !! This is what you have to do, go to start, then go to control panel, then go to add/remove programs, then you scroll down until you see windows live sign-in assistant, then you right click, i will have uninstall, repair, and change. You click repair and it will fix it and it will let you sign back in.
