O.P. DPs in Sign-in windows
When I run Windows Live Messenger "latest build" it doesnt show a picture, not even the place for the picture. If I click Sign in, it shows me the picture while signing in. Also, if I click sign-in and then stop it, the picture shows. Have a look at the screenshot, it explains it all. Any idea about what's going on?

That happens because there is no space for it to appear, icrease the window height or the resolution of your screen.

Click & drag the top or the bottom side of the window.
YouTube closed-captions ripper (also allows you to download videos!)

800 by 600 pixels, it did get fixed when I changed the resolution, but I still prefer the old resolution as everything is small now. What bothers me is that it used to show the DPs and suddenly without changing anything it stopped showing them.

what size screen are you using?

you should really be on at least 1024x786 as most things are designed for that or higher

You get used to it, but if you use a 15" or lower screen then yes, things look very small.
