O.P. Multiple Places Log-In
I have recently had no PC or broadband connection.  As a result I used a mates computer at their place to log into my emails on a Live account.  I didnt save the password or username and thought nothing of it.

Today I got myself a new PC but am still without broadband.  I went to the same mates and logged onto messenger with MY pc at their place.

The msn loaded and said I was logged in twice, the other being shown as my mates PC.

Why is this?  Is there an explanation or does it mean he has somehow logged into my msn (for whatever reason?).

Windows Live Messenger 2009 allows you to log on at multiple locations

This would indeed suggest that your friend had logged onto your WLM

When you have logged on, you are able to log out any other computers, just click the dropdown where your screenname is and select "Sign out from..." and then the location

Thanks for the reply, it begs the question how does he know my password???

Someone did suggest a fault at the moment that my laptop wi-fi is somehow detecting I last logged on msn on my mates laptop and showing me as logged in twice?  does that make any sense

You could change your password.

No, that wouldn't happen. Somebody knew your password and has logged on to somebody else's PC other than yours.
