O.P. Laptop suggestions? [Requirements included...]
Honourable Admins/Mods, fellow members;
* James Potter has a budget of 1,500 USD and would love to purchase a laptop that would meet the following requirements:
  • 19" Wide Screen;
  • Powerful processor (for video editing);
  • Strong VGA  card (for graphic designing);
  • Large HDD capacity, between 320-500 GB (for file storage);
  • Good battery life;
  • REQUIRED: 4 GB RAM.
The retailers take about 20% profit from the imported laptops, and apparently, a sucky country like Lebanon does not manufacture laptops to buy from the locally produced brands. There are simply none.

I have heard loads of positive reviews about Dell, HP, and Toshiba. However, I am quite uncertain about what to pick from, as Dell is quite powerful, but, the better the specs get, the more I'd have to pay. HP has been known to be very expensive too. Furthermore, Toshiba has been known to not have a decent battery life.

I would not like to max out my entire budget, so basically would love to spend 1,000-1,300 USD at max.

Any help in regards of my requirements is much appreciated.  :)

Anxiously waiting for your reviews and suggestions.

P.S. I do not have any model name in mind at the moment, thus seeking your suggestions.

I'll be checking that out! Thanks loads. A 17" wouldn't hurt. At least a bit bigger than 15". :P

The Dell vendor site does not seem to display the price (in USD) of the laptop. Or am I blind? :S

Any more suggestions (just in case this Dell wouldn't be in stock at the local store)? (A)
