O.P. cannot install messenger

I had to reformat my computer the other day, and now trying to install messenger this is what i get.

oncatalogresult: 0x8104000b

then continues

you cannot install msn unless you are connected to the internet.

well i am connected to the internet seeing as i am posting this message of help.

any suggestions.
