Is there a script that allows a small gap/line break/margain between the top and bottom of the text window?

E.g (Arrows pointing to it)



If not, is it possible to request one?

I may be mistaken, but I believe that would be more something a skin would handle. There might be one or many that have what you're looking for. Only thing you can do really is either start looking at the screenshots or try them out.

Just out of curiosity, why do you want that space there? Purely aesthetics?

I think the reason for it is because MSN 8.5 has a gap at the bottom, where it would say 'Example is typing a message', and then the icons (smilies, winks etc) before reaching the input box and It seems weird without that gap ^^

Thinking about it now, a margain at the top would look silly, so it's just the bottom one I need

(I only just changed to MSN 2009 after finding out about these skins )

Yeah it does sound like something that a skin would do, I may've just said script because I was downloading loads at the time ^^.

Is there any way to edit the skin I currently have to add a margain? Or can I request that? Or can I contact the creator of the skin and ask him/her?

I don't really wanna change skins just for the margain, this one's awesome
(The 'Stealth' skin by 'LuckyMe' ^^.)

It still does. There is already a reasonably large gap between the bottom of the chat history, and as far as I can see, the conversation status bar is still there

No, I actually installed the skin and the status bar is still there. This is especially strange because, as there are a number of messages in the chat history, the status bar should at least say something about the last message received.

Well I can help if you still want

However you´re gonna have to edit some files to get the effect you want, it´s not that hard so yeah.

You may want to go the skin folder, wich is something like:

C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! Live\Skins\Stealth\UIFiles 14\Styles

When in here, look for a file called "920 style"

open it with notepad or another text editor, press ctrl+b and type "convhistory" then you get this:

Modify the red line to:

padding:Rect(5,7,4,10);
   
The higher the last number, there will be more space at the bottom, and restart your messenger.

This way you can make your own tests until you´re happy with the result.
