DreamHost costs too much, I got 2 years for 10$ however (mega new years special...so did Vilkku )

When DreamHost is not cheap, like MeEtc (but with my random referral spam) Vexxhost is g .

If you want DreamHost don't do the wj way, do the SONICSAM WAY You get like 57$ off for whatever, and 97$ other things

For the same price you can get name.com domains and they are 100000000x BETTER

For domains I use http://namecheap.com and http://vexxhost.com for hosting, never had a problem with them . NameCheap also gives you free WHOIS protection for a year.

However, msgstuff.com is hosted by DreamHost and they have always been very reliable.

I use ResellerClub for domains and my own server for hosting.

Dreamhost does private domain registrations at no extra cost too.

TBH, private domain registrations should be default everywhere. Wake up registrars, it's not 1990 anymore, why should I publish my address to the world?

Since you've already done it, this is just for future reference.

I'd never buy domain registration and hosting from the same place.  The way I like to do it is I own and manage my domains and have the hosting provider just host.  That way, if they suck or happen to go out of business, I can point my domain elsewhere in a matter of hours and I need no cooperation from them to do it.

name.com is an excellent registrar.  I have no hosting suggestions, since I have my own private arrangements for that.
