O.P. it won't let me check my chat history what the EFF
in the right hand corner of the chat it should allow me to click a button so i can check my chat history, right? Well what the hell, it just disappeared.

Hover at the top of the chat display area (under the music playing/personal message, but above where text is displayed). An arrow will appear which you can click to bring back the option you're looking for, plus others.
