O.P. Windows Live Messenger and Office Communicator
My wife uses Office Communicator at her work and I use Windows Live Messenger at home.  My wife can see me online, but I cannot see her.  It always shows her as offline.  The only way that I can communicate with her is if she initiates the conversation.  Any ideas why I cannot see her online?  Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Brent

RE: Windows Live Messenger and Office Communicator
Your office could be blocking that functionality. Why they allow external communications at all is kind of odd. The whole purpose of using OC is that it's internal only, but access can be granted outside with federation if you buy a license through Microsoft. (Just noticed that it's actually done at no charge starting recently[src]) My guess is that it's an issue with your office's LCS or OCS proxy server.
