O.P. Choppy Webcam issue

Apparently I am the only one in my family with any problems.

My brother in AZ uses MSN messenger to chat with my parents in FL, his in-laws in ND, and friends in OH.  He has smooth audio & video using his laptop with the built in webcam...

However, when I connect to him or my parents, it is very choppy (video) and there are long delays (audio).  Which means it has to be something on my end.

I am running XP SP3) with Pentium 4 - 3.2 GHz, 2GB DDR2 ram, well maintained system with no spyware/adware/viruses (using Webroot AV, Spybot S&D, ATF-Cleaner, CCleaner).  I have a Microsoft VX-6000 webcam and using RoadRunner with 17.22 Mb/s down & .49Mb/s up.

Any thoughts why I am the only one with issues?

May be an issue with with your router not forwarding the ports properly.... Try following some instructions at www.portforward.com
