O.P. one side of audio dropping
When I am using WLM in audio, after a few minutes, I can no longer hear the other person I am talking to but they can hear me.  We can re-establish communication by restarting the auduio conversation but this gets really annoying.  Plus there is no indication that the conversation isn't working.  This happens mostly with the same person I am talking with and happens even when I have tried two different Pcs at my location so I am thinking it might be a setting at his end?  Any assistance would really be appreciated.

Does the problem still occur with Messenger Plus! Live uninstalled?

I'd reinstall your sound drivers. Check Windows Update and manufacturers website for latest version.

How long has this been happening for?

This indeed sounds like a problem on his end.

Unless you have used the same speakers/headphone on those two PCs. In that case it could be a fault in your speakers/headphones too.

Anyways, make sure that your friend also sees the advise given here. And let him also check the audio connections/plugs and the micro. Maybe let him use another mic...
