O.P. Serious help please! vista c000021a fatal system error
Every time i turn my dell inspirion laptop on it always says Stop:C000021a Fatal System Error system has shut down....

I am generally pretty good with computers but have no clue how to solve this.

I was dragging files from external drive onto the laptop at the time when it crashed and this is the result. It hangs on crcdisk.sys when I tried to boot in safe mode.

All help is appreciated!

Steph

If you have a copy of the OS cd boot off of it and chose to recover the PC. Type chkdsk /r (I think it is R... if it then its F)

the /R will both locate bad sectors and recover readable data.. it includes /f.
