Can someone plz help with this message I get at shutdown on my o/s windows XP home edition?

Tried everything I could think of and google to no avail.

It could just be slow to respond when you shutdown, it doesn't necessarily mean something is really wrong. Although it isn't exactly normal behavior either .

* Which version of Messenger are you using?
* Do you get this problem when you close Messenger manually before shutting down?
* Are you running and Messenger add-ons or scripts/skins?

when I shut down after closing Messenger I get the msg "Not responding" msnmsgr.exe and I have to end that dialog manually.

I use version 2009
no add-ons, skins or script
