O.P. Turn Off/Change Auto retry ??
Hi, when Messenger is logged in, sometimes if the net goes out and come back, messenger begins to auto retry logging in.

Is there a way to turn this off, as it logs back in as "online", or is there a way to force it to only log back in automatically as "offline"?

thanks!

I think if you want it to log back in as "offline" then you need to originally sign in with that status.

Hi, thanks ahmad.

Yes, I sign in as appear "offline" and stay offline.
But if the net disconnects and reconnects for whatever reason, then messenger will auto login as "online"

Are you using the latest version of Windows Live Messenger?

I just recreated your problem and it signs back in as the status it was originally set :S

So yeah, it works with me fine..
