hey, i just downloaded the windows live messenger update.

the only 2 things i dont like about it so far is that it removed the pictures i used as convo-backgrounds.
as far as i can see, there isnt a way to actually do that anymore.
im hoping thats not the case, could someone give me instructions to do that if its still possible please?

secondly, i dont like how it reverts to your actual name ._____.  is there a way to put up a screen-name like before? 

Convo backgrounds...as in scenes? That's still available. Right on that "area" and there's the option.

You can't change that...it's a change in how WLM works.

I am not 100% sure but they may have removed this for the sake of scenes. I won't be able to verify until I get home. Until then someone else may be able to.

No there is no way. You can however change your live profile name and it will reflect in Windows Live Messenger.

scenes are so stupid looking ._____.  it was so cool when you could use your own images :\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\$£"%^&*%$"£!%^

yeaah matty.  i sometimes email for serious stuff though so i didnt want that name that appeared there changed to something silly xP

sigh.  im willing to uninstall this and reinstall an older version cause of this

Keep in mind, other people using WLM 2011 still see your name nonetheless.
