I use to be able to click my Email alerts, email noted on messenger sign in,and messenger on my PC tool bar, to go directly to my in box .  For some reason I have lost this feature!  I have XP Home, I have tried reinstalling Messenger Live to no avail. This is no great thing, but I did enjoy this feature.  Earle

Clicking the notification results in different actions, depending which e-mail programs are installed on your computer:

• If Windows Live Mail is installed, it will open.
  
• Otherwise the e-mail should launch in your default browser.

Problems can occur when there is an issue with your default browser connection. Please click Start, Control Panel, Default programs to set your favorite browser as default, which might fix these problems.
