When only online logging is enabled, and chat log encryption is enabled,
logs are stored on the MyPlus! account.
(...but not encrypted - this is by design, so that's fine (for now))

However, locally, a log file is also still created in the user's chat log folder. It is encrypted, but the log itself is empty. Aka, it is just an encrypted, but empty, log file.

When only online logging is enabled, no log file should be created locally.

Sidenote: I suspect the creation of that 'empty' log is done for the same reason a local log is created when local logging is enabled; as a kind-of placeholder so that enother log file with the same name can't be created (instead "(2)" is appened to its name). Though, the problem with the current situation is that this 'empty' log stays empty during chatting and that it is listed in the Log Viewer. Therefor I suggest to at least set its file attribute to hidden so it doesn't show up in the Log Viewer if only online logging is enabled.
