I'm using a 64 bit Windows 7 with Windows Live Messenger 2009 and every time I hover my mouse over one of my friends/contacts name and click the view profile option windows gives me the error "Windows Live Messenger has stopped working"

"A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is availible."

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing Windows Live Messenger but that didn't work. If I click a friends/contacts name in the "What's New" area I don't receive the error and I'm taken straight to the their profile. The three other options work when I hover my mouse over my friends name. Can anyone help me? 

The same is happening here, and I haven't found a solution yet. It does appear that the problem only began to happen like lately and maybe some newly-installed Windows Update may be to be blamed?

What version do you use? any addons?
