Still no F2 renaming?
I love the new Messenger Plus! 3.x, but I'm yet another time dissapointed that I can't press [F2] in the contact list to rename contacts. It's also a bit dull that the contact list can't be sorted on the custom names, but that's not as important...

RE: Messenger Plus! 3 - news
Just as I thought. Well, well. No biggie. :)

RE: Messenger Plus! 3 - news
Just one last thing I would like to see: Proper ordering of custom names inside the Messenger contact window. Now, every contact is sorted by their e-mail address (which is logic, since it's MSN Messenger who does the sorting), but if it's possible...

RE: Messenger Plus! 3 - news
That's fully understandable. I'm not going to wish for it, I just said it might be nice. But might I ask (yet again) for the [F2] rename shortcut key? Pretty please, with sugar on top? :D

RE: Messenger Plus! 3 - news
A script API would certainly be nice, but it's absolutely not a must-have feature, so Patchou can safely focus on the more important stuff for the next version. If you ask me, that is.

RE: Messenger Plus! 3 - news
I've probably not payed attention in class, so I have to ask: Will Messenger Plus! have script support, or does it already? If it doesn't, but plan to have, could I suggest that Patchou don't create a new script language? There are like 100 diffe...

RE: Messenger Plus! 3 - news
Ah. Brilliant. I didn't know that. But it doesn't work perfectly. When people send me files, their nick aren't replaced. I'm not sure Patchou can do anything about this, but if he can, I hope he does. :)

RE: Messenger Plus! 3 - news
Yay, I almost can't wait. I think MsgPlus! 2 is almost perfect. The only thing I think is a bit nasty now, is the organization of the menus. You have to move your mouse a lot to reach the different stuff crammed into the "Messenger Plus! Extras" m...

RE: Messenger Plus! 2.21
That sounds like a good idea, actually. The client should of course not be an actual MSN Messenger client, but something Patchou programs to communicate directly over the Messenger protocol. This way, he can make it pretty efficient with threading a...

RE: Messenger Plus! 2.21
Another option is to program "something" :) that goes through every logged on user which uses Messenger Plus! and send the file to one (or maybe ten) person at a time, and not to 100.000.000 persons at the same time. I'm not sure how easy it is to...

RE: Messenger Plus! 2.21
So, we've concluded that Plus! has an auto-update feature, and that it's turned on. I have MSN Messenger 6.0 innstalled with Plus! 2.20.53. Can you please explain why I don't get a reminder in Plus! to update to version 2.21, Patchou? :P

RE: Messenger Plus! 2.21
Well, I wasn't lying when I said that Messenger Plus have updated itself automatically earlier. It has. :) I just wondered why this automatical update have stopped, but Choli answered that question (kind of).

RE: Messenger Plus! 2.21
I just wonder: Why haven't Plus! asked me to update to this version? Do I need MSN Messenger 6.1 first or something? I got the update to 2.20.53 automatically, but I haven't heard anything about 2.21. Why?

RE: Script? did I hear script?
Ok. But when MP supports scripting, which language will it support? If there should be support for one language only, I have to say that the best choice atm is JavaScript. I hope you will document the object model of MP well, so that it is po...

RE: Rip-off
I think you might protect Messenger Plus! from such profitable copied programs if you register it under a GNU General Public License. This requires the source code of Messenger Plus! to be exposed to e...

RE: Script? did I hear script?
It's really nice that MP 2.0 will be scriptable, but why did you chose VBScript of all languages? I think it would be much better if you chose JavaScript (also called ECMAScript), because this language has a [url=http://www.ecma.ch/ecma1/STAND/ECMA...
