well, firstly as anubis did i bought a VB book. read it a couple of times sat down and fiddled also http://www.pscode.com helps but most of it is learnt throught trial and error i'd say. then i learnt php and never got the hang of it.:(

I dont particuly mind the ads, sure they make the scroll bar in your contact list smaller but they keep messenger free

arent there any tabbed windows that allow a simple 'X' in the tab, i dont like using Alt + F4 to close each tab

I'd personally use VB6 the run-times are smaller and most computers have them. As Mnjul said the .Net Framework is 20MB+ (23). VB.Net is better but some users may be limited

well, seems it uses there ip and not there email addy (i should think so) then it shud work. but im not sure cos it relies on plus, but plus stays open if u close messenger so just ask the owner ;)

the resume function would of been handy for me early as i was sendin a big file wiv messenger and it crashed like 500kb from the end! all in all an ace plugin, ill get it thru me contact list in a tic!!!

ok, i gave him the link to that first time, wot i ment is i gave him the link to a skinned messenger to see if that works after the vb runtimes installed, but they still dont work

ok, here it is, i gave him the link to msn messenger it installed but now it ses the ordinal 176 could not be located in the dynamic link library OLEAUT32.dll. wen he tries to open it

OK, my mate has a problem on his computer whenever he tries to install msn 6.x he gets an error sayin something about oleaut32.dll. i really want this fixed because hes stuck with prehistoric messenger and i cant do any custom emoticons or show him m...
