RE: MSN Plus! tweak & it's creator.
Yes, Plus! Tweak is legal. It doesn't modify any Plus! exe or dll. It only changes the settings stored at the registry (that can be done with regedit.exe too). Also, here, at http://w...

RE: MSN Plus! tweak & it's creator.
Patchou no, but someone else because if Patchou makes a tweaker... better he puts the options at the Plus! > Preferences menu. And also, Patchou gives no support to those features.

RE: Did you find the mess.be site because you downloaded Plus!?
My case is similar to KB's. I knew Plus since 1.42b (last 1.x) but I did't pay attention to the forums. About november/december 2002, I began reading the forums, to get more information about the new Plus 2. The day after KB, i joined the forums....

RE: MSN Plus! tweak & it's creator.
Plus! has several features that only can be enabled/changed by going into the registry. There isn't any option in the Plus! > Preferences... menu to access them. A tweaker (in this case Plus! Tweak) is a program that show you all those hidden featu...

RE: API calls and VB6
APIs are needed. Imagine you are in VB and want to change the caption of your window. Just type Form1.Caption = "New text". Easy, isn't it? Well, now suppose you want to change the text of a window that you don't below. A window of other program...

RE: Accessing registry in VB
Yes, of course. There are lots of sites where you can learn a lot of APIs and how to use them. In fact, all what I know about APIs, I learnt it reading tutorials on the Internet. I suggest you to see www.allapi.net and look for API inform...

RE: Accessing registry in VB
Ex? RegOpenKeyEx and RegQueryValueEx? That's the name of the API. Don't worry about that.

RE: Running in background
To use timers in a dll you have to use a hidden form and place a timer control in that form or use API functions to create a timer. The first option may be easier for you, but I prefer the 2nd one. It looks more professional :P and gives you ...

RE: Accessing registry in VB
You have to use the following API functions. Search them in Google where you'll sure find great examples of how to use them and detailed information about what each one does exactly.
Private Declare Function RegOpenK...

RE: VB-form opens before sResult gets sent
Of course it opens before the string is sent. That's because Plus! is "who" sends the sResult and it only gets it after the ParseCommand function has finished and then that function has already executed the .Show method.

RE: Running in background
1st: Don't try to use threads with VB6. If you want to use threads, use VC++ 2nd: Look for the Win32 API docummentation to see which API calls are reqired to manage threads. 3rd: wipey: Do you know that there is an edit button, so you can edit your ...

RE: @msgplus.net Email Support
Maybe your ISP is Terra (which is part of Telefonica). With terra you have to activate the email to get working. I never did that so I don't know how to do it. I use terra, and perhaps this phone number can help you: 906322333. Be careful, it's a ...

RE: Suggestion (simple one): The use of tags in custom names.
That will cause recursive calls and Plus will fall into an endless loop. ie: You put the custom nick "His nick (!N)" That will be "His nick His nick (!N)" and then "His nick His nick His nick (!N)" and so on...

RE: @msgplus.net Email Support
Apart from the POP3, is there / will there be any other way to check the mail? I mean webmail or something similar. I currently use POP3 but perhaps in a month I'd be insterested in the webmail too.

Is your ISP (Internet Service Provider) isp.com? SonicBoom said that as an example. Instead of isp.com you must put your real isp.

RE: Ampersands/Shortcut/(&) in OK and CANCEL
I think that the & at the OK and Cancel buttons should never be used. We haven't put any at the Spanish (Spain) translation.
