RE: Feedback Netscape Browser 8.0
Yes the new Netscape is based off the Firefox codebase. As Cookie says, Netscape actually founded the Mozilla Foundation, and donated the source code for Netscape 4 I believe. I disagree that Netscape is a bug-free Firefox though. Its based on much t...

RE: a good mouse
The best mouse in the world is arguably the Logitech MX1000 which is wireless and super l33t. I have the MX700 and wouldn't touch a corded mouse now :D Look out for the MX510 which is also a superb mouse albeit wired, but still fairly good. I think...

RE: Anything below 21" is for WIMPS!
Considering you can get a 24" screen with a 12ms response time, TB's monitors are probably quite good. Any pics please TB? :P

RE: Plus! Beta Temporary Sub Forum Suggestion
It would be nice to have a separate forum, as seeing other bugs would allow us to test them in different environments, OS's etc. Also it would be nice to know who the other testers are so we can build a list of them to test out the new sounds on eac...

RE: [suggestion] Seperated features
I understand what you are saying. I agree that Plus has lots of features. And ironically its this that is stopping there from being a modular version. Its easy to say that its possible to just have modules to select on install, but try to actually vi...

RE: StuffPlug 0.7 still more popular than 2.0 :|?
I understand why he took out the open window notifier. As more and more people switch to MSN 7, there will be more and more false reports, people asking why SP-NG said their contact had opened a conversation window when they didn't. While an open wi...

RE: [suggestion] Seperated features
Firefox is designed to have the most useful features straight out of the box. It is not designed to be basic at all. To be fair, I probably made a mistake in trying to compare the two. Plus has lots of features this is true. So presenting a user wit...

RE: [suggestion] Seperated features
How would this be done though? How can you make the preference panel so that it only contains some features? It would have to split up every feature and make the preferences more complex and unorganised. Firefox is the same as Plus. I don't think t...

RE: [suggestion] Seperated features
There has been such a discussion before. Basically, if there are features you don't want, don't use them. Sure there are lots of features, but the way Plus 3 was designed was to make the preferences easier to use. The people I know who use Plus hav...

RE: Am I the only one that thinks msg plus is going in the wrong direction?
Heh heh, I think I was writing my post while you edited yours. Great minds think alike though :D I would prefer that Plus left in the hide ad feature, but I understand why it was removed. At least there are other options available. I think the direc...

RE: Am I the only one that thinks msg plus is going in the wrong direction?
I think that Patchou has his reasons for removing the 'Hide the ad banner' feature. Microsoft do include ads for a reason, to help pay for the free service they provide. Regardless of whether Microsoft do or do not require more money is immaterial....

RE: PS3 processor unvieled
For 64-bit to truly take off, you'll need a 64-bit OS, and 64-bit drivers, both of which are currently in beta. AMD and Intel have different architectures, both of which perform better in different areas. People who perform a lot of media creation w...

RE: PS3 processor unvieled
Please tell me where I can get a 64-bit version of these games... Its not the fact that its a 64-bit processor, its just a faster processor in this instance, even though its running in 32-bit mode. :P
JeronimoTech Talk02-11-2005 at 10:36 PM
RE: PS3 processor unvieled
Why would it do this? 64-bit processors address more memory per clock cycle, but I wouldn't say this has such an enormous benefit for games at the current time. The gameplay would be plenty smooth as it is. The future implications for 64-bit don't...

RE: PS3 processor unvieled
What advantage does 64-bit provide to a game console? We're not going to see the PS3 with 16Gb of RAM are we? :P

RE: Messenger Plus! 3.50 is on its way!
Indeed it does look rather spiffing. I expect the new feature to be used loads. So much so that will there be enough space on the server to store them all? :D Also looking forward to all the other surprises in store for us when March comes around. /...

You don't need to tell your ISP because essentially the second computer will just share the first's internet connection. You will be able to share files and printers if you select that option when you run the network wizard. You will need a [b]cros...

I think I prefer the ones leito made. They do look really cool. I disagree. I think people will equally say, "you know the one with the funky colour changing chameleon logo". ;)

The second one with the offset chameleon looks superb. Might I ask what font you used for the writing?

RE: Going to the link using keyboard
What browser are you using? In Firefox there is find as you type so you can just type the name of the link and it will take you too it. I find using the keyboard more actually speeds up computer usage in general. My best tip for becoming better at us...
