Agreed, Paint can only open files if they really are images (like W98 times when the only way to change boot screen logo was opening some .DLLs with paint or any graphic program), but rather than this it won't open them. Paint doesn't care about extensions, it cares only for file format.

and you think paint shop pro, photoshop, fireworks, flash, word, excel, powerpoint, access, etc. can't open unexisting file types?

I use Paint ... I wish I had PhotoShop though...

(adobe)photoshop cant, i dont have ne macromedia programs on my computer so ionno, and the last ones were all microsoft products so they prolly do open them...i never said that paint was the only one
