And how about the life cost in your country?

We cannot talk about wages without talk about life cost.

In Japan, people earn a lot of money... like US$ 300 per day, but if you want to drink a Coke, it costs about US$ 50 (2 litters) !!!

How is the prices of the thinks in your country? How much costs a small house rental, a popular car, a nice motorcycle,  lunch in a good restaurant, one beer, one litter of gas or diesel, a bus ticket, etc?

I can give some of those prices in pound sterling:
Medium-sized family car ~ £15,000
Decent bike - probably around £10,000
Beer - £2 a pint
Petrol - 80p/l (varies across the country from 70p to 90p)
Diesel - slightly more than petrol
Bus ticket - anything from 50p to £5, unless you're going cross-country

Here in portugal it's like...

0.5 € per coffee
1 € per beer (1 can or bottle)
0,65 for a cake
75 Km bust ticket = 5,7 €
Gasoline = 1,3 € per litre
Diesel = 1,1 € per litre (not sure of these values)
Tennis shoes = 70 € to 140 €
Shoes = 80 € and up
Sweat Shirts = 60 €
PC Game = 35 € to 55 €
PS2 Game = 65 to 75 €
Our economy is in deep shit, 'cause the "State" has responsability in everything, like in health, education, social care...
1 £ = 1.5 €

1 € = 1.3 $

Sweat shirts too.

And if you come to this country ( Portugal ) youwill find a lot of brazilians lol.
And we speak portuguese too so its an advantage.

Portugal + Brazil 4 ever.. :P

Oh and i forgot as Portugal is kind being left behind because of the poor development on last years they are giving support to new companies that are focused on IT.

Cheers.

A thing i've noted: The prices of major stuff in Europe is near than prices here in Brazil. But we here earn much less money than people who lives in European Contries.

An coffe here costs about R$1,50, US$ 0.60, € 0.45 or £ 0,67.
Like a Medium-sized family car (Volkswagen Golf for example): R$ 40,000, US$ 16,000, € 12,000 or £15,600

imports will usually cost the same amount wherever you are, but a good measure of the cost of living is looking at interest rates, and the price of locally made goods.
