might seem pointless to you cause you dont have to Ban spammers or anything else for that matter. i think DZ is good enough with PHP where he could possibly maintain the custom Modifications in this board an easily put those into 1.6, personally i think your making this out to be a rather long Job when it probably isnt at all.

Well, WDZ has and he doesn't seem to care

As long as the forum is stable, fast, and has all the stuff we need, it doesn't seem to really need to be updated.
And as stated above, WDZ's modifications made his custom version even better than MyBB 1.6.

• Member List Alphabetical sorting
  
• Thread prefixes for scripting, testing etc. forums
  
• Nested quote limits
  
• Youtube (necessary? Probably not. Nifty? yes)
  
• Limit user priveleges for set time (like posting, needs approval, etc.)
  
• Only recieve PMs from buddies
  
• Built-in quick edit (I don't want to have to add loads of stuff to my browsers on every computer I use for 1 single board)
  
• Delayed moderation actions (like unstick after x days, delete after x days for stuff like <Month> Desktops
  
• Easily remove threads from banned users (like bots!)

But only WDZ knows if that's worth it .

From a moderator perspective, I don't see any real reason to upgrade. Sure, inline moderation tools are nice, as well as inline editing, but the banning system works fine, moderation actions are not missed here and removing threads from bots works great thanks to finding all of a user's posts, opening them in tabs and clicking the quick delete button.

That's what I always wonder too, lol

I don't intend to do much work at all on the board until I know what Yuna is planning. Patchou said something about a "new forum structure" which I haven't been told anything about.

I'm kind of hoping they'll get someone else to run this board so I can finally leave... I'm 24 years old and I've been here since I was 15, and I haven't used Messenger since 2006, so it's about time for me to move on. I have no interest in being employed by YS, or volunteering while others are being paid.

Before I leave I'll at least upgrade (or offer to help upgrade) to a modern forum software. "wdzbb" lacks decent administration tools, and it's completely unsupported, so I'd hate to leave it in someone else's hands.
