But no, it is not illegal to mod your case in that way...

It would indeed be illegal if you mod the PS2 itself, with chips to crack games and stuff.

Chipping a PS2 to play copied games isn't illegal.

Copying games for personal use isn't illegal.

It was even on the news here that it isn't illegal.

You can't buy other cases for the PS2 from Sony or Sony endorced companies.

And modifying the case, oppening the case...doing anything to the case voids the warranty

Yes, but nobody ever does it to play their own games

There was another site where the case just slips over the PS2 and says it doesn't void the warranty... ill find the site and post

It's like having a neon light on your PC.

you can do what mwe99 said and use skins, but they dont generally allow you to ut LED's in ur ps2.
Mostly the ps2 sits out of sight and only the front is seen.......
