Sliverlight is ridiculous, Microsoft just don't understand their users. Why can't things be simple to use?
I've personally found that silverlight videos load smoother than flash videos, in both Vista and XP Pro running IE7 and Firefox. It's a new platform, it's going to take getting used to. I'm no coder, but rather a user of flash and silverlight. Flash is what millions of users are used to, so of course with change comes time .

RE: [split] Microsoft Silverlight
If only silverlight would correctly detect that I have the freaking thing installed when I use FF, it would be completely awesome.
Then again, it is an "alpha"

I only found it difficult to use because installing it was a traumatic process . I want a click and to be done; not a long waiting process and endless pages of instructions and having to restart constantly.

It shouldn't be hard at all, you run the installer, accept the user agreement, it shows you the percentage it's at, and it's done. You don't even have to restart your browser .
