O.P. Huh?  UK Driving Age
i been hearing the rumour that in the UK they are going to raise the age which you can hold a full driving licesne. i wanna know if this has been confirmed or not. i looked around but no such luck

I very much hope not. I turn 17 next year and i can start having lessons and i really want to drive.

what happens to all the people that are 17 and have passed then they raise the age though?

exactly, i doubt it will be increased. Who did you hear the rumor from?

I'm currently having lesssons and passed my theory and my driving instructor hasn't said anything about it to me.

Even if they did it wouldn't effect you, they'd have to do like a years notice or something.

They let them keep it... But then everybody in the future needs to be the raised age.

apparently, if the rumour is true people who send off for their provisional by August 2005 or October 2005 (i dont no which one :P) will be exempt from the law but anytime after that then they must wait till they hit 18 before gettin a full license

a mate of myn told me about it and he told me the month.  i forgot which month, so i looked on google and saw pages saying it was a rumour and saying that its real :S
