i just read your Space, i believe you. there are more screenshots on his Space and it DOES show that it is a real Messenger 8.0.

Only thing, in these screenshots above how did u sign in? how come on your space you claim couldn't sign in anymore (which should be the case because it is an internal build)?

it is named "Messenger 8.0 BETA" in these screenshots, different from what Bill Gates showed, is because the build Bill showed is mainly to advertise the "Windows Live" lines. This is a genuine internal leaked build.

If it is indeed real, how exactly was it leaked?

Surely an MS employee wouldnt risk their job doing so?
