RE: Mouse problems
As Felu has stated, you wont find mouse drivers among the auto-updates on the update site of Windows.
However, most (standard) drivers are already known by Windows. ALl you need is the original install disk/cd of Windows if asked for.
Thus, her problem is most likely a wrong (or even not installed) driver. So she should go to the hardware settings in the control panel and install a proper mouse driver. This can be quite a guessing-game, so she has to try many drivers. But let her start at the most basic drivers. You also can eliminate a whole bunch of drivers by looking for what connection they are made: PS/2, serial, bus, usb, ... Obviously try only the ones made for the proper connection type.
