It's true, they payed the young founders ( one is 28 one is 29.) 1.65 BILLION US MOOLAH!! sorry for lack of link as im on my psp. so what do you think? the 2 young founders already uploaded a video anncoment on youtube.

They monetize the content by adding adverts. Google and YouTube have both also recently made deals with Song BMG and TimeWarner to show music videos etc, with sales of them too. |

Google can keep the ad revenue now. And Google probably has sweeter deals on bandwidth prices than YouTube had. So the will earn more than the original YouTube creators did.

My guess is that the Video Google will be merged with it. When it comes down to it, Google does what it's meant to, but doesn't really look very nice. (The main reason I don't use the Google IM Client).
Hopefully, they'll promote YouTube over Google Video as it looks nicer and probably has more/better content.
