No.

It depends, i got a free upgrade to vista with my XP
It depends who you buy your computer with as I bout mine with Mesh computers

even if you do get a free upgrade you have to register for it. Head to the microsoft website, there is a thing called express upgade on the front page, click that and enter your computer code, this should possibly tell you if you are eligble or not.

You can get a free upgrade if you buy the Compaq media edition.

This will tell you everyhting you need to know. Allthough, if you were getting one, you would probably know about it.

I got my laptop with no os just a ticket saying when vistas out (if vistas out lol) i will get it.

So, if I can't find IBM in the select manufacturer (wow i spelt it right without firefox ) list, then it is not compatible? Even knew IBMS?

I doubt it will be compatible with your laptop... you only have 64mb ram..
