hi all.
i have search n read the forum but i have not read any cases lik mine, hope anyone can help me.


recently, contacts that were added by my friend or added by me appear offline.

they 'appear offline' to me but the fact is, on the other side (my friend's msn) it is online. i can't chat with them though till they click on me and actully chat with me.

And even after they chated with me, they still appear offline in my msn but im online in their msn.

"contact is not in ur list, click here to add them" i click on it but still the same problem.

and even if i added them FIRST, its still the same situation.
They are offline in my msn but im online in theirs'.

i have checked the privacy (options), allow and block, their contacts are in the 'allow'.

i'm not sure what's the cause of it. it's just happened recently

tired reinstalling and repairing but still the same
i email microsoft but yet to receive a response.

i delete n re-add and after that, i right click on the contact>edit contact, it show "the contact information could not be saved. Check the contact's information and try again."

what does that means?

problem solved or not?

as far as I know, deleting and re-adding of contacts is not required, why you have done that baffles me, never saw that in CookieRevised's instructions

ok . so lets say i follow his/her instruction, how do i know if the problem is solved solely just on my msn?

you will see these contacts online...sounds simple

sounds like a server issue, and same thing with sending messages as well for the time being anyway.

hmmm, but its like every now and then i checked that, it always display that.

the server can't have problem all the time?
