You are correct. However, ATI isn't a synonym of crashing or bad performance, nor 'suckage'. Nevertheless, they have the worse fucking timing in the whole industry, you can see that with the late arrival of 2900XT and its poor performing drivers unaccordingly to the card's great specs, which supposedly, in theory, beat 8800GTX's ass.... in theory lol. On the other hand, even if late, ATI has the best DirectX9 cards.. Lets see if the same happens with Direct3D10 on the long run.

Ok. ATI has blown two of my computers up. I haven't had any problems with nvidia whatsoever. I not a fanboy. I just like my computers to last for more than a month.

Maybe you can't take care of you computer :\
How does a graphics card blow a computer? Maybe you use lousy power supplies and want to do miracles with them.

I've used Windows the most, then PCLinuxOS and I haven't used macs much but I think I'd go with a mac because it would be good for my everyday usage and I could use Windows if I needed to play a game or run exclusive programs. Linux was just to see what it's like and it has been very frustrating. It depends on who the OS is for and what they will be using it for.

[You didn't think someone would accidentally believe me now, did you?] was put impeccably into words at DebianDay for me last Saturday, by Knut Yrvin of Trolltech - adults try something once, fail, and then are like "ffs this doesn't work". Children try, fail, and then try again, and succeed - maybe on the second, or even fifth retry. But the thing is that they keep at it and overcome the problems in the end.

Tbh, I have personally never had any problems with ati, and the ati x1400 (laptop) works great with most games - medium/high graphics.
I like macs I appreciate why people like them and so sould other people tbh, there gret for simplicity and tasks for designing and browsing in general. Windows is more compatible, slower but still perfectly fine.
I use windows becuase my laptop is windows, I do however want to put mac on it - or just get a mac.
Stop arguing you lot
