RE: Just uninstalled vista sp1 beta
There'll updates on Windows Update, install them and restart your PC thereafter installing the official Service Pack 1.
That will solve the evaluation copy.

I cannot find the official SP1 on windows update, is there another download link direct from the microsoft site?
Edit: And yes, installing a couple of security updates from windows update did remove the message and got rid of the evaluation copy, thanks

If it appears on Windows Update then you shouldn't ignore it.
I, personally, don't give these notices (unless it's really important) a second look. The standalone installer is usually bigger than those appear on Windows Update.

In essence the windows update one is adaptive based on what updates you already have installed

Nothing bad will happen. It's just a bigger download.
I personally always use the full service pack downloads instead of Windows update.
