have you tried disabling AVG? ..dont uninstall it,, just disable it ..then reboot an then try windows Update

hmm.. this might be a phonecall to M$$ or even a format an reinstall job, cheaper to format an reinstal than it is to hand M$$ $50 to help you fix it

You have to go Start>All programs>Windows update, and thats what doesnt load |

im a Mod over at fedoraforum.org Demz is the nickname there, these days an get pretty busy doing that among other things, but im not a Game Player

If you're on Vista, start the command prompt as an administrator and enter:
code:
regsvr32 jscript
regsvr32 vbscript
regsvr32 /i mshtml
If you're on XP just open up the Run dialogue and enter those above. |
