Part of the reason why I'm doing this project is a (in-)famous murder case in Deventer, NL where the prime suspect claimed to be 20-30 km away while his mobile was connected to a cell tower close to the crime scene; while that is not unheard of, I'm trying to assess the likelihood of that (though I'm not involved in the trial in any way - that's too much for me to handle
). What I'm mainly looking into is this: given that a phone was connected to a specific cell tower, where can said phone have been, based on historical data from www.opencellid.org/.
