type "cmd" in the run box and then try pinging. typing "ping download.com" in a command prompt is not executing "ping download.com" from the run box. 
Oops.. sorry, didn't completely read it.
I get this when I type that in cmd...
"Ping Request could not find download.com. Please check the name and try again"
