whats a good test to see if my drive is f*cked?

it burns, no buffer underun or whatever... says successful, but when i put the disc into my dvd player it says no disc. when i put it in the laptop it shows theres a disc but its blank. ARGH! it burn loads of files, but was a bit funny. now i did this dvd and the disc is apparently blank. >.<


i hope its not broke, i bought the damn drive because my other drive was dead?!
