Not necessarily... sometimes stuff doesn't get done until someone brings it up.
That number hasn't been changed in years, and the board is busier now, so it might make sense to increase it a bit.
Of all the threads in the database, 72% have 300+ views. However, the percentage is much lower (17%-22%) if you only count threads started in the last month or two.
