Windows Live Messenger, Messenger Plus! Live and Messenger Discovery are all developed by seperate people, just because an update for one has been released it doesn't mean that all of the others will be updated too
Windows Live Messenger 2009's only compatible add-on (at the time of writing) is Messenger Plus! Live's beta version available from the
download page.
Messenger Discovery has been known to cause several compatibility issues with Messenger Plus! Live, so to avoid problems decide which you want more.....and uninstall the other
