Microsoft is “Getting ready for Windows Live Wave 4”
Microsoft has announced today that they are prepping for the Wave 4 rollout. In a blog post on the official Windows Blog, they stated that internal testing of Live Wave 4 has been going on for some time and that they will soon begin to roll out the beta to others outside of the company for additional feedback.
They state that they will release the beta to the public once they have a stable build to work with that meets all of their internal requirements. “We will then roll out updates to our web services, followed by betas of our software for Windows PCs, Macs, and phones. Our approach is to release betas to the public once we think the build is in pretty good shape, learn through beta usage data and beta user feedback, and make additional refinements that eventually become the final release. Of course, we’ll continue to update the service as we see how you use it every day and hear from you about what’s working and what needs improvement.”
On the blog they go into further detail and focus in on Hotmail, Windows Live Essentials, and Windows Live Messenger, but no specific details are given about the actual updates. But, Neowin has been covering the leaks that have been surfacing which you can read about here, that do shine a little bit of light on what we can expect.
As we get closer to the launch and more users are given access to the beta, expect more information to surface. Once the beta leaves the locked walls of Microsoft, what to expect from Wave 4 will be much clearer.
