today i downloaded the "updated" windows antispyware directly from microsoft's security website. I uninstalled the old version, then installed the new one!! surprise, the product wasnt the new version, it was still 1.0.501, but spyware definitions were only updated to: Spyware Definition Version: 5685 (2/18/2005 3:51:43 AM) (edit2: later today, the signitures upgraded to 5691, but it still reports i got latest version).....
did this happen with anyone else?!?! whats wrong with microsoft's download?!?! and if u had to ask, nope i dont use a proxy (well, none i know of
)
edit: i tried to use update feature, it says i got latest of both signitures and software as opposed to what they say on their website:
