would it be possible to make profiles hidden unless you are logged in.

The reason I ask this is because this way spam bots can't harvest e-mail addresses.

Of course, the links to e-mail addresses below each post would also have to be hidden unless you are logged in too.

Well, I would have emails hidden and that's all about it, no need to hide the whole rest.

Or would it be possible to stop the spam bots by using some form of code or is this already done?

Umm, they dont link to an email address at all
they link to a email form that doesnt show the email address of the user on it

And the profile page only displays your email address if you set it as your msn address. or in one of those feilds.

That's what I used to use, im sure its possible to create a php script that generates those chatAt commands from a text input

the msn address field is already protected against spam bots... but i seriously doubt that works
