Older games: WC3 TFT, Counter Strike: Source, COD2..?
New games: Crysis, Portal, TF2, World in Conflict, Bioshock. Also I reckon Assassins Creed looks awesome ^^.
If you haven't played the Half Life series I suggest you go do that to. Start from the first one ^^

World of conflict is awesome so is bioshock and you must NEVER play World of Warcraft unless you wanna turn out like Gollum (smeegle) from lord of the rings

 almost forgot. Colin McRae: Dirt is a stunning game.. I fucking love it ^^ and well you said you like racing games so this is defiantly a game for you.
